Magento set, get and unset session variables

To set a magento session variable
$sesValue = 'Store';
Mage::getSingleton('core/session')->setSesVal($sesValue);

To get
$getValue = Mage::getSingleton('core/session')->getSesVal();

To Unset/Remove
Mage::getSingleton('core/session')->unsSesVal();

Note:: ‘SesVal’ can be any text you want but ‘set’,’get’ and ‘uns’ prefixes for session.
